Brisbane river - drawing

Painting by Donald Friend of Brisbane City seen across the Brisbane River. A stark contrast to the towering buildings and skyscrapers we see today, Donald Friend has beautifully captured Brisbane in it's early days so that we may catch a glimpse into the past of the city.

Take a second to compare this to modern day Brisbane along the river. This image highlights just how much the city has evolved since 1944, it's culture changing and evolving along with it.
